Alicia Keys first week sales of Girl on Fire...
Seems like Miss Alicia Keys reached her lowest first week sales EVER with her new album Girl On Fire.
Lets return to the past for some moments OK!? Back on 2001, Alicia sold almost 263.000 copies of her debut album Songs in A Minor! Only 3 years later, she debuted her sophomore album, The Diary of Alicia Keys that sold almost 618.000 copies worldwide! Great right!? In 2007 Alicia stops the world with the release of her most successful album As I Am that sold a unbelievable total of 742.000 albums sold in a week! After that came The Element of Freedom in 2009 that sold about 417.000 copies!
However, seems like this years is not being easy of any great artist! The quality and the strength present of her voice is unquestionable and the live performances that she has been making in order to promote Girl On Fire are the mirror of the genius that exists within this woman! But I guess it wasn't enough this time!
The lead single "Girl On Fire" may not have helped the album to have the impact that Alicia had intended...
Sadly, I don't have good news....Alicia only managed to sell about 161.036 unites around the world.
Lets hope for better times to come right?!
